KIAS team participated in EGEA kick off meeting in India

KIAS delegates participated in “Enhancing Green Economy in 3 Asian Countries – EGEA” project kickoff meeting held from 18 to 20 February 2019 in Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, India. KIAS executive director, Dr. Prakash K. Paudel and director of international relations, Dr. Basant Giri were among the 32 participants from 16 partner institutions representing 8 countries.

The EGEA project aims to promote cooperation and experience sharing among the partner universities and institutions in Europe and Asia for enhancing green economy through developing academic and professional courses. The kickoff meeting was instrumental for planning the details of the three year (2019 – 2021) project including the roles and activities of different partners. KIAS will play important roles in evaluation and analysis of green economy curricula and policies on sustainable development in higher education institutions and other stakeholders in Nepal and dissemination of the project among other activities.

The EGEA project has been funded by European Union grant.
